AG510 Fire Retardant Sealant is a water-based, acrylic emulsion firestop caulk developed for passive fire protection in construction joints and penetrations. Ideal for sealing precast panel joints, masonry control joints, and metal duct or pipe penetrations, it helps prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and gases through interior voids. This intumescent fire sealant expands when exposed to high temperatures, delivering up to 4 hours of fire resistance per EN 1366-4. It forms a flexible, durable seal with excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, and metal surfaces. AG510 is halogen-free, asbestos-free, and fiber-free, making it a safe choice for indoor use. Its non-sag, water-based formula applies easily with a standard caulking gun and can be cleaned with water before curing. Surface dries within 15–60 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours.
Please note that this product is not intended for use in areas with direct flame contact, such as inside fireplaces or flue interiors.
Strong adhesion to concrete, masonry, and metal surfaces. Not recommended for use on glass, floor joints, oily surfaces, areas with continuous water exposure, or surfaces subject to constant load and abrasion.

How to Use: 1) Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, or loose materials. Remove old sealant or debris. 2) If you want clean edges, apply masking tape along both sides of the joint and remove it right after smoothing the sealant. 3) Cut the cartridge nozzle at an angle to the bead size you need. Puncture the seal inside if necessary. Load the cartridge into a standard caulking gun. 4) Apply a steady, continuous bead of AG510 into the joint or gap. Fill it completely for best results. 5) Within 5 minutes, smooth the sealant with a gloved finger or spatula to shape it and improve adhesion. 6) The surface will skin over in 15–60 minutes. Let it cure fully for 24 hours (longer if it’s cool or humid). 7) Clean tools and any uncured sealant with water. Once cured, removal may need mechanical methods.
